Mary Ann Popham, 72, of Bryan passed away Sunday, January 20, 2013 at her residence. Funeral services are set for 1 p.m. Wednesday, January 23, in the Chapel of Trevino-Smith Funeral Home with Pastor Betty Carroll officiating. Burial will follow in the Bryan City Cemetery.




Visitation will be from 11:30AM until service time on Wednesday in the Funeral Home Chapel. The family asks that all friends and family who attend the funeral wear bright colorful clothing.




Mary Ann was born August 8, 1940 in Teague, Texas to Harold and Emma (Simmons) Dunn. She enjoyed singing, dancing and growing plants and flowers. On October 22, 1969 Mary Ann married her best friend and the love of her life Bobby. She never met a stranger and was very motherly always taking in people and animals as her own.




She is preceded in death by her father; her son Larry Wayne Popham; a brother; and two aunts.




Mary Ann leaves to cherish her memories husband of 43 years, Bobby Popham; daughter, Kimberly Ann Plagens; her mother, Emma Davenport; three granddaughters and their spouses, Kristen Davis and Timmy, Kalyn and Jeremy Mejias, and Kadee and Justin Ahrlett; six great-grandchildren who were the pride and joy of her life, Lexi, Lanie, Layten, Cayden, Emily, and Hunter.
