Randy Keith Matthes

September 15, 1957 - January 18, 2013




Randy Keith Matthes, age 55, of Bryan, went to be with his Lord on Friday, January 18, 2013 surrounded by his loving family. Memorial services will be held on Saturday, February 9th at 1:00 p.m. at Hillier Funeral Home.




Randy was born to Vernon Arthur and Sue Carol (Allen) Matthes in Las Cruces, NM on September 15, 1957. After serving in the United States Air Force he worked most of his life as a technician in the telecommunications industry. He met Patricia Armstrong in Albuquerque, NM in 1997 and they in married in 2005 in Corinth, Texas.




Randy leaves behind his wife Trish of Bryan; three sons, Daniel Keith and wife Yvonne Matthes of The Woodlands, Texas Michael Shawn and wife Amy Bell of Corrales, N.M. and Austin D. and wife Camille Livingston of Rock Hill, S.C.; and three grandchildren, Evelyn and William Matthes and Pierce Livingston. He also leaves behind his step father, Olney Lee Lockett of Elephant Butte, N.M.; his mother-in-law, Susan Armstrong of Albuquerque, N.M.; his brother, Michael Thomas and wife Kimberley Rhodes of Lewisville, Texas; his brother, Allen Lee and wife Pam Lockett of Carrollton, Texas; two sisters-in-law, Allyson and husband Bob Whittington of Harmony, Pa., Lauren and husband David MacEwen of Albuquerque, N.M.; as well his uncle, Don and wife Cheryl Allen of Albuquerque, N.M., and uncle Bobby Allen of Wichita, Kan.; as well as nieces, Sarah Whittington, and Shannon Rhodes; and nephews Keith C. MacEwen and Michael A. Rhodes.




In lieu of flowers donations may be made in honor of Randy to the Brazos Valley Animal Shelter P.O. Box 392, Bryan, TX 77806.
