Shirley (Kearney) Kohn

August 3, 1955 - January 20, 2013




Shirley Kearney-Kohn, 57, of Bryan passed away Sunday, January 20, 2013 at her home. Visitation will be from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. Friday, January 25, at Jones-Washington Mortuary.




Services are set for 11 a.m. Saturday, January 26, at New Jerusalem Baptist Church, with the Rev. Floyd Polk, officiating. Interment will follow at Oakwood Cemetery.




Shirley Kearney-Kohn was born on August 3, 1955 in Bryan to William Hughes, Sr. and Margie Kearney-Koontz. She graduated from Bryan High School. Shirley was a member of Lee Chapel Methodist Church. She enjoyed fishing, gardening and family gatherings. She was preceded in death by her father.




Survivors include her mother, Margie Koontz; brothers and sisters-in-law, Rickey & Angela Kearney, and John Jr. & Dorothy Koontz; sister and brother-in-law, Deborah and Terry Auston.




The family extends special thanks to Dr. Erin Fleener and her staff, also the staff of St. Joseph Regional Health Center and Traditions Health Care for their care and compassion.
