Robert C. "Bob" Reese, Jr., 82, of Bryan, passed away January 16, 2013. There will be a service at 2 p.m. Tuesday, January 29, 2013 at Westminster Presbyterian Church, 3333 Oak Ridge Drive in Bryan, officiated by Pastor Wade Coleman. A reception will follow services at the church.




Bob was born 1930 in Dallas to Nettie (Ord) Reese and Robert Reese Sr.




Bob attended Peacock Military Academy and Thomas Jefferson High School in San Antonio Texas. He graduated from the University of Houston with multiple engineering degrees. He was invited to become a lifetime member of the Phi Beta Kappa and accepted.




Bob was a United States Veteran, a lifetime member of the Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo, Frontier Fiesta, and the Cougar Cookers. He also enjoyed his membership in the Sons of the American Revolutions, as well as the Sons of the Confederate Veterans and the First Families of Tennessee.




His parents, and his son, Jimmy Reese, preceded him in death.




Survivors include his family in town; a son, Robert Reese and wife Wendy and granddaughter Remington; his son, Ned Thompson and wife Tracey, and grandson Blake. His out of town family includes a son, Pat Reese and longtime companion Lauri; son, Gary Reese and wife Elizabeth and grandchildren, Elizabeth, Rachel, Patrick; and daughter-in-law, Dana Neubaure, and grandchildren Cody and Casie. Last but not least, his dog Gizmo.




In lieu of flowers the family requests donations be made to Brazos Valley Animal Shelter or to Scotty's House.




We would like to thank all the people that cared for Bob in his hours of need.
