Ruby Ann (Westfall) Woods, 74, of Hilltop Lakes, Texas went home to live with Jesus for all eternity Wednesday, January 23, 2013. A celebration of her life was held Sunday, January 27, in Poco, W.V.
She was born to Lewis Allen and Lula Elmore Westfall on February 5, 1938. Ruby was a homemaker and a member of the Beta Sigma Phi Sorority.
She loved her pets Pookie and Sapphire dearly, but her passion was family and her beautiful Heather. After 42 years without a Westfall Family Reunion reunion, it was Ruby who pressed the "girls" to revive the tradition. Those who have attended over the years are so grateful.
Her parents; her daughter, Deana Ann Woods; and numerous brothers and sisters preceded her in death.
Left to cherish her memory are her husband of 55 years, Roy T. Woods; daughter, Lisa Woods, of Midland, Mich.; sons, Greg of Hearne, and Barry; and her granddaughter, Heather Woods, of Houston; her brother, Franklin D. "Laney" Westfall, of Poca, W.V.; and her brother-in-law, Dorsey Woods, of Little Rock, Arkansas.
In lieu of flowers the family suggests donations may be made to the Heather Woods College Fund c/o Gatens-Harding Funeral Home PO Box 2 Poca, WV 25159.
