February 3, 1943 - January 23, 2013




Charlotte Ewell Scamardo, 69, of Bryan, passed away Wednesday January 23, 2013 at Hudson Creek Care Center in Bryan. Visitation is scheduled for Friday, February 1, 2013, from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. at Memorial Funeral Chapel in Bryan. Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday, Febraury 2, at the funeral home with Pastor David Hoster officiating. Interment will be at Mt. Calvary Cemetery in Bryan.
Charlotte was born February 3, 1943 to Ruth Hardigen and Charles Ewell, Sr. in Norfolk, Virginia. She graduated from Norfolk High School and Fredrick College in Norfolk, Virginia and moved to Bryan in 1980. She was a homemaker and had worked as a Lab Technician and Office Manager of a Physician's Office. She had a passion for Needle Point and loved to cook. She was very dedicated to her husband, her children, and her grandchildren. She was a member of St. Andrews Episcopal Church in Bryan.



Charlotte is preceded in death by her parents; her husband W.P. Scamardo; her brother Charles Ewell, Jr.; and a step-son, Jonathan Paul Scamardo.



She is survived by two sons, Karl Dannhaeuser of Brenham, Texas and Derek Dannhaeuser and his wife Tracy of Elizabeth City, North Carolina; three grandchildren, Austin, Nathan, and Justin Dannhaeuser; one step-daughter, Diane Rogers and her husband Stephen of Longview, Texas; three step-sons, Dennis M. Scamardo and his wife Anne of Camarillo, California, James Patrick Scamardo and his wife Jennifer of College Station, Texas. and Danny Scamardo and his wife Sharon of Austin; step-daughter-in-law, Julie Scamardo; ten step-grandchildren, Sam Scamardo and his wife Carol, Dorothy Christensen and husband J.R., and Andrea Stegall and husband Jake, Peter and Michael Scamardo, Jamie, Jordan, and Jenna Scamardo, and Jonathan and Jason Scamardo.
