Charles W. Nichols, 66, of Bryan, entered into rest on February 9, 2013 in Bryan. The family will receive friends from 5 to 8 p.m. Monday, February 11, at Memorial Funeral Chapel in Bryan. The funeral service is scheduled for 2 p.m. Tuesday, February 12, at Memorial Funeral Chapel. Interment will follow at Kurten Cemetery.




Charles was born August 20, 1946 in Bryan, the son of Charles A. and Dorothy (Ivey) Nichols. He was a member of Central Church of Christ. Charles served the City of Bryan as a firefighter for 22 years until his retirement. He also worked at West Repair for many years.




He was preceded in death by his parents.




Survivors include his wife, Ann (Bond) Nichols; children, Jennifer Holloway and her husband Dwayne of Kurten, Charlie Nichols and his wife Jennifer of Cypress, and Matt Nichols and his wife Robin of Kurten; a brother, Roger Nichols and his wife Emmy of Glen Rose, Texas; grandchildren, Brook Conaway and her fiancée Justin Branham of Kurten, Tyler Conaway of Kurten, Cash, Jackson and Sawyer Nichols, all of Cypress, Cooper and Tanner Nichols, both of Kurten; and expecting his first great-grandson, Aiden Robert Branham in May. Mr. Nichols is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.




In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made to Compassionate Care Hospice or Precinct 2 and Precinct 3 Volunteer Fire Departments.
