Evelyn Ray (Hall) Lucas

Evelyn (Hall) Ray Lucas, 77, of Dallas, formerly of Bryan, passed away February 6, 2013 after a brief illness. Services are set for 11 a.m. Tuesday, February 12, at Salem International Baptist Church, 3918 Crozier St., in Dallas.




Interment will be at the College Station Cemetery. Dinner will follow interment at The African American Museum in Bryan.




She was preceded in death by her husband, Elmo "Bubba" Lucas, her parents and a sister, Mary Lee Hall.




She leaves to cherish her memories a son, Curtis Durens, of Dallas; a granddaughter, Curtrenna Durens; two great-granddaughters, Triniti and Cidnee Durens, all of Dallas; three brothers, William G. Hall and wife Blanche of Calvert, William A. Hall and wife Mavis, and Carl E. Hall and wife Dianne of Bryan; three sisters, Cornelia "Faye" (Hall) Laws, Carol Denise (Hall) Lewis, and Dianna (Hall) Allen, all of Bryan; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
