On February 6, 2013, at St. Joseph Hospital in Bryan, Pastor Fred Harrison, departed and went home to be with our Heavenly Father.




Visitation will be from 12 to 5 p.m. Friday, February 15, at Allen Dave Funeral Home, 201 S. Main Street in Caldwell and at Macedonia Baptist Church from 6 to 8 p.m., also in Caldwell. Funeral services are set for 1 p.m. Saturday, February 16, at Macedonia Baptist Church with interment at Oakwood Cemetery in Bryan.




Services are entrusted to Allen Dave Funeral Home, for information call, (979) 567-9400.




Fred Harrison was born in Caldwell, Texas on June 22, 1957, to parents Herman Harrison, Sr. and Mary Lee (Love) Harrison. He united with Macedonia Baptist Church at an early age and was baptized by Reverend D.N. Jones. He graduated from Caldwell High School where he participated in football, basketball, and track. He also attended Blinn College in Brenham. He became pastor of Macedonia Baptist Church in 1999 and remained their pastor until he passed away. He retired from Texas A&M University after 31 years of service.




He is preceded in death by his mother, Mary Lee (Love) Harrison and father, Herman Harrison, Sr.; sister, Caral Johnson; brother, Lee Roy Harrison, wife Cheryl Ann Harrison; and son, Chauncey Harrison.




He leaves to cherish his precious memories his sons, Frederick and Corey Harrison; grandsons, Chauncey Keyon Harrison and Amaree Harrison; brothers, Herman Harrison, Jr., Arthur Ray Harrison, Jerry Harrison, and Bruce Harrison; and sister, Patricia McNeil; a host of nieces and nephews, cousins, other relatives, and many friends.
