Joe Morrison Jr., 85, of Hearne, passed away Wednesday, February 6, 2013 in Bryan.
Services are set for 11 a.m. Saturday, February 15 at St. Emanuel Missionary Baptist Church, Cedric Rouse Pastor, with Minister Marsha Mason officiating in Hearne. Visitation will be from 1 to 7:30 p.m. Friday, February 15, at Glenn Mack Funeral Home of Hearne.
Joe was born March 24, 1927 in Hearne to Joe and Bessie Morrison. He graduated from Blackshear School in Hearne. He was baptized at an early age at St. Mark Missionary Baptist church in Hearne. Joe will be remembered as being "full of life". He loved being around family and was a friend to all.
His parents preceded him in death.
Survivors include his sons, Brad and Marcus Boxley, both of Hearne; daughters, Marsha Mason of Bryan, Ahnjayla (Boxley) Taylor and husband Joe, of Hearne; sisters, Arlean Dixon, Naomi Wilson, Bessie Mae Williams, all of Houston; He leaves a hose of nieces, nephews, grandchildren, great-nieces & great-nephews, cousins and many friends to cherish his memory.
