Evon Cook went to be with the Lord on February 16, 2013. Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. Thursday, February 21, at Cashner Funeral Home, Conroe, Texas. Funeral services will be held at 3 p.m. Friday, February 22, at Cashner Funeral Home in Conroe.
Evon Cook was born July 20, 1942, to Irene Pitts and Fermon Ivan Cook in Conroe. She grew up in Conroe and attended Conroe High School. Evon was married to Glenn Arlyn Brown on June 6, 1959. She enjoyed being a homemaker and mother. She was known for her delicious Apricot Strudel that she often took as a thank you gift to friends. Evon was a faithful Christian and greatly enjoyed attending Graeber Road Church of Christ in Rosenberg. She was known for her great sense of humor and love of making others laugh. Evon was a loving sister, wife, mother, and friend.
She was preceded in death by her parents and sister, Frances.
She is survived by her husband of 53 years, Glenn Arlyn Brown; daughter, Glynis Yvonne Fletcher and husband Jeffery of Tomball; brothers, Roy Lee Cagle of Conroe and wife Nora and Donald Ray Cagle; and numerous other relatives and friends.
