Bobby Johnson, 79, of College Station, passed away on Thursday, February 21, 2013. A time for family to receive friends will be from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. on Monday, February 25 at Hillier Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, February 26 at Church of the Nazarene, 2122 E. William J Bryan Pkwy, with Rev. Lonnie Green officiating. Interment will follow at Rest-Ever Memorial Park. Hillier Funeral Home is entrusted to his care.




Bobby was born on September 9, 1933 to Jessie and Vernell (Sumner) Johnson in Taylor. He went to school in Austin. Bobby worked most of his life as a maintenance foreman in the oil industry. He married the love of his life Lottie Snider on April 19, 1953 and together they raised three daughters. He moved to Bryan in 1973. Bobby served in the U.S. Navy from 1951 to 1958 aboard the U.S.S. George A. Johnson, U.S.S. Mansfield and U.S.S. Preston.




He leaves behind his daughters, Normal Daniels of Tomball, Anne Beer of Tomball and Tammy Coleman of Bryan; grandson Casey Coleman and Christina Stehling of Houston; granddaughter, Andrea Coleman of Bryan and great-granddaughters, Katelyn, Piper and Ellie Coleman. Bobby also leaves behind his sister, Letha Sosby of Austin and brother, Richard Hicks and wife, April of Round Rock. He is preceded in death by his wife, Lottie Johnson and his parents, Jessie and Vernell Johnson.
