Louis Edward Lane Jr.

August 30, 1948 - February 23, 2013




Louis Lane, 64, of Bryan, passed away on Saturday, February 23, at St. Joseph Regional Health Center in Bryan. A memorial service will be scheduled for a future date. Arrangements are in the care of Callaway Jones Funeral Home and Crematory.




Louis E Lane Jr. was born to Louis Lane Sr. and Gertie McGough Lane in Bryan. He was employed with BISD until his retirement as Head of Custodial Staff. He was a faithful member of the Church of Christ. He loved his children and grandchildren.




He is preceded in death by his parents, his brother, Wilford Lee Lane; his wife, Connie Jane Slaughter Lane.




He is survived by his children, Jacob Lane and wife Amelia Lane and grandchildren Evan and Isabella; Louis Lane III along with daughters Deborah Leah Lane, Rebecca Ann Lane, and Rachael Ruth Morris and her husband Joshua Morris; his brother Otis Lane; his sisters Nonie Hyvl, Linda Schultz, and Carol Hyvl; the mother of his children, Patricia Ann Walsh Lane; and other relatives.




He is in our hearts and minds as he touched the lives of many; he can now rest in the house of the Lord, forever.
