Mrs. Gertrude Mask Nobles, 90, of Navasota passed away Friday, March 1, 2013 at the Sheridan of Navasota. A visitation will be held Sunday, March 3, from 2 to 4 p.m. at Nobles Funeral Chapel. A funeral service is scheduled for Monday, March 4 at 10 a.m. at First Baptist Church of Navasota with the Rev. Clyde Larrabee officiating. Interment in White Hall Fairview Cemetery will follow. Arrangements are under the direction of Nobles Funeral Chapel.




Gertrude was born on June 4, 1922, in White Hall, Texas the daughter of Charlie Edward and Blanche Evess (Johnson) Mask. Gertrude married Preston Nobles on February 14, 1942, in Navasota, Texas.




Mrs. Nobles was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Preston Nobles; and brothers Crit Mask and Robert Mask.




She is survived by son and daughter-in-law, Preston "Skip" and Carol Nobles, Jr. of Navasota; sister, Ethelee Hubble of Navasota; brother and sister-in-law, Cecil Mask of Dallas and Dora Jean Nobles of Navasota; grandchildren, Melanie and Harold Reeves of Navasota, Michelle and Paul Sechelski of Galveston, great grandchildren, Trey and Emmalee Reeves and numerous nieces and nephews.




Serving as pallbearers are Harold Reeves, Allen Kolby, Charles Rotello, Chris Rotello, Kermit Karnei and Roy Karnei all of Navasota.




Memorial Contributions can be made to the First Baptist Church, 301 Church St., Navasota, Texas 77868 and Fairview Cemetery Association. The family invites you to leave fond memories or kind words at www.noblesfuneral.com.
