Montell Ballard

December 25, 1920 - February 25, 2013




Montell Ballard (92) passed away in Tomball, Texas on February 25, 2013. She was preceded in death by her loving husband, George Ballard. She is survived by her two sons George Ballard II and his wife Gloria Ballard of Houston, and Jon Ballard and Dottie Ballard of Bryan. She had six grandchildren, Matt Ballard of Austin, Brad Ballard, Brandon Ballard, David Ballard, Jennifer Emery of Bryan-College Station, and Chad Ballard of Tomball.




Montell and George were married for 50 years before his death. George had been her anchor and soul mate, and she missed him desperately after his passing. Perhaps their best times together were spent in Red River, New Mexico where they vacationed for many years. Montell was a full time homemaker who enjoyed flower arranging and gardening, and when her sons were young she could always be found rooting at their football and baseball games.




For the past ten years, Montell was blessed by the attentive and affectionate care of Gloria Ballard.




A graveside service is set for 11 a.m. Saturday morning, March 2, 2013 at Rest-Ever Memorial Park Cemetery in Bryan.
