Mary Sue Lumbley, of Irving, passed away March 4, 2013. A funeral service is planned for 2 p.m. Thursday, March 7, at Plymouth Park Baptist Church in Irving, with Reverend Ken Branam officiating. Burial will follow at Oak Grove Memorial Gardens in Irving.

She was born on November 24, 1928 in Port Arthur, Texas to James Arthur Scofield and Alma Jewel Cavin. She taught school at T. J. Lee Elementary in Irving and retired after thirty years of teaching. She was a member of the Retired Teachers' Association and the Irving Book Club.

Survivors include her son, Steven Lumbley and wife Bobbie of Irving; daughter, Maryann Lumbley of Mesquite, Texas; granddaughters, April Lumbley and Stephanie Lumbley; and great-granddaughter, Genesis Lumbley, all of Irving.

The family requests that memorials be made to, Plymouth Park Baptist Church Missions Ministries, 1714 N. Story Road, Irving, TX 75061.

Arrangements have made by Brown's Memorial Funeral Home in Irving.
