Naydene W. Holley, 89, of Bryan, Texas, was received into heaven on March 3, 2013. A time for family to receive friends will be from 1:00 to 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, March 7, with service to follow at 2:00 p.m. at Hillier Funeral Home. Interment will follow at Bryan City Cemetery.




Naydene was born in Hamilton County, Iowa, to Asa and Hattie Malone. She attended Cedar Falls Teachers College and began a career in teaching. In 1941, Naydene married George C. Holley. Naydene resided in Bryan, Texas for the majority of her life as a loving wife and mother and was a member of First United Methodist Church. She operated the Road Runner Campground in Bryan for many years and then enjoyed her retirement at Crestview in Bryan. She treasured her lifelong friendships in our community.




She was preceded in death by her husband, George C. Holley; son, Neil K. Holley; and daughter, Jill H. Wales.




She is survived by her grandson, William "Trey" Vance, III of College Station; a sister, Wanda Bergman of Ankeny, Iowa; and Jon Wales of Bryan.




In lieu of flowers, the family deeply appreciates memorials made in Naydene's name to Crestview Retirement Community.
