Lester M. Duncan left this world a better place February 23, 2013. A Celebration of Life will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday, March 9, at A&M Church of Christ in College Station.




He was born to Earmon Davis & Sallie Duncan May 22, 1935 in Terry County Texas. Lester was a jack-of-all-trades but found his true calling in serving the Lord as a minister and missionary for over 40 years in Arkansas, South Africa, Missouri, Kansas, Texas, England, Czechoslovakia, and Siberia. He touched more lives than we will ever know and we were blessed to have had him as a husband, father, grandfather, brother and uncle.




Lester was preceded in death by his parents; and his in-laws, David Lee & Haley Crabtree, and Ruby Crabtree; and two brothers, E.D. & Marvin Duncan.




He is survived by his wife of 59 years, Wanda Crabtree Duncan; son, Les Duncan, wife Shawna; and three daughters, Pam Hendrikz, husband Mike, Lanell Graebner, husband Steve, and Kelly Timms, husband Timothy; one granddaughter, Lee Graebner; two grandsons, Blake Timms & Kei Hendrikz; and two sisters, Nellie Mae Smyth and Helen Anglin.




In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations may be made to any of the following organizations: Zimbabwe Orphans Program, East Point Church of Christ 747 N. 127th St. East. Wichita, KS 67206, Hospice Brazos Valley 502 W 26th St., Bryan, TX 7780 or the Alzheimer's Association www.alz.org/donate
