Joe Boy "R.L." Wilson

Joe Boy "R.L" Wilson, 75, of Houston, formerly of Bryan passed away Fri., March 8, 2013 of natural causes. Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Friday, March 15 at Richardson Mortuary 3201 Brookfield in Houston. Visitation will be from 10 to 11 a.m. Friday, at the funeral home.




R.L. was born May 4, 1937 to Dan and Savahah Wilson in Edge, Texas. R.L. was self-employed and was a great artist. He loved barbecuing, fishing, and woodworking.




He was preceded in death by his parents and two siblings.




R.L. attended E.A. Kemp High School in 1955 after which he joined the Navy. After he was discharged from the Navy he married Dorothy Mae Clemons on November 1958 and to this union four children were born, two daughters, Adrienne Wilson of Bryan, Jacqueline Wilson of Aurora, Co., two sons, Darrell Wilson of Bryan and Joe and wife Brenda Wilson of College Station; seven grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren, nieces, nephews and friends.
