Rev. Eugene Ross, 78, of College Station, passed away March 18, 2013, at the College Station Medical Center.




Visitation will be from 9:30 to 11 a.m. Saturday, March 23, at G. W. William Tabernacle. Services following visitation will start at 11 a.m. at the church with Bishop Ricky E. Ross officiating. Interment will be in Salem Cemetery in Wellborn, Texas.




Rev. Eugene Ross was born January 30, 1935 in Brenham to Charlie and Mable Ross. He was an active member of the Wellborn Community Church. He had a love for the Lord and enjoyed preaching, praying, teaching and receiving God's word.




His parents preceded him in death as well as his first wife, Viola Ross; and two brothers, H.L. and Leory Ross.




Survivors include his wife, Dorothy Louise Ross; sons and daughters-in-law, Eugene Curtis Ross Jr. and Michelle, Bishop Rickey E. Ross and Isela, Ronald Sweed, Reginald Sweed and Valerie, Ray Brown and Sherri, Donald Coleman and Elizabeth, Willie Coleman and Tracy; daughters and sons-in-law, Diana Ross-Thompson and Anthony, Dana Ross, Rhonda Knox and Johnny, Rosaline Godfrey and Bobbie, Theresa Herring-Ross, Carlen Thompson-Ross; brother, Rev. Sammy Ross and Vivian; and numerous nieces, nephews, other family and many friends.




The family extends special thanks and appreciation to all whom have reached out during our time of bereavement. The Ross family finds healing in God's tender love and embrace, and in knowing others remembered and cared.
