James Michael "Jimmy" Womack, 44 passed away Saturday March 23 in an automobile accident near Pecos, Texas. A memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday at A&M Church of Christ in College Station. Graveside service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Thursday at the Memorial Cemetery of College Station in the Aggie Field of Honor.




Jimmy was born June 16, 1968 in Corvallis, Oregon. He graduated from A&M Consolidated High School in 1986. Jimmy attended Pepperdine University before graduating from Abilene Christian University. He loved being in the great outdoors, traveling all over the world as a fly fisherman. Jimmy was a counselor for at risk youth in the Hill County. For a short time Jimmie traveled to China where he taught English. He was most recently employed at Rockwater.




Jimmy is preceded in death by his grandparents, Charles and Eva Mae Womack, and Grover and Jewel Beakley.




He is survived by his parents, Jim and Raby Womack of College Station; sister and brother-in-law, Wendy and Bill Hill of Franklin; nephews, James Hamlin Hill and Quaid Faltys; uncles and aunts, Grover and Jenelle Beakley, Karen Wood, Cathy and Clyde Peacock, Gary and Rose Ann Womack, Clara and Brent Barksdale, Casi and Trussell Davis and Chase Womack; and numerous cousins. Jimmy measured his wealth by the number of and strength of his friendships.
