Charles Lee Davis, 84, of Bryan passed away Sunday, March 24, 2013 at the College Station Medical Center. A graveside service will be held at 2:00 p.m., Tuesday, March 26, 2013 at Wellborn Cemetery.




Mr. Davis was born May 11, 1928 in Trinity, Texas, the son of Stella Marie (Watson) and John L (Jack) Davis. He attended Texas A&M University, as a member of the Class of '49 and interrupted his studies to enlist into the Army and served during the Korean War, afterwards returning to his beloved Texas A&M to complete his studies and graduate in 1955. Mr. Davis retired from Phillips Petroleum. He was a member of First Baptist Church in Bryan and was an avid golfer and Aggie Fan.




He was preceded in death by his first wife, Jean (Jackson) Davis in 2008.




Survivors include his wife Sue Davis; children, Brian L. Davis of Rockwall, Texas, Lisa Lamar and her husband Robert of Marianna, Fla.; grandchildren, Jonathan Mark Poole & wife Amber, Charlsie Poole & her husband Joey Macaluso, Robby Lamar, Emily Lamar, Benjamin Davis, Sarah Garcia; great-grandchildren, Jackson Raymond Macaluso, Brayden Davis, Mikayla Davis, Alexander Garcia; brothers, Henry Davis, Glen Davis; sister, Marilyn Watkins.




He will be sorely missed by all the members of his extended family.
