Lewis Earley Jr., 82, of Franklin, Texas passed away Tuesday, April 23, 2013 at his home.
"Lou", known to his parents and siblings as Bert was born March 1, 1931 in Shelly, Idaho. Lou proudly joined the Air Force and served during the Vietnam War. While in the Air Force he became a member of the Strategic Air Command and retired after 20 years. Lou then resided in Bryan, Texas, for 33 years and worked in the steel building construction during that time.
One of his favorite pastimes was riding his Harley and traveling with his wife, visiting most of the United States including Alaska.
Lou was preceded in death by his parents, Lewis and Elva Earley; his brother, Bill Earley; sisters, Maxine Manderson and LaPriel Thompson.
Survivors include his wife of 58 years, Benita; son, Jack Earley and wife Carla of Lewisville; grandson, Chris Adams and wife Kaycee of Round Rock; granddaughter, Jackie Glover and husband Allen of Keller; 4 great grandsons; sister, Oenone Kinman of Ellensburg, WA; brother-in-law, Larry Eastep of Franklin and Ellis Eastep and wife Fredda of Franklin; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Lou was a man of few words and asked that no service be held in his honor. The family is fulfilling that request.
