William "Butch" Schoonover

William Joel "Butch" Schoonover, 67, of Bryan passed away on Saturday, April 27, 2013. A time for visitation was Monday, April 29, from 6:00 – 8:00 p.m. at Hillier Funeral Home in Bryan. Funeral services will be Tuesday, April 30, at 2:00 p.m. at Hillier Funeral Home with Pastor Brian Jones officiating. Interment will be at Bryan City Cemetery following the service.

Butch was born on February 27, 1946 in Bryan, Texas to L. D. and Rosie (Winslow) Schoonover. He lived in Bryan most of his life and worked as a carpenter. He enjoyed sports, especially his Dallas Cowboys and Texas Aggies. He also enjoyed Western books and movies, especially the old TV Western series.

He is preceded in death by his parents; his brother, Alvin Schoonover and a sister, Imogene Sisco.

Butch leaves behind sons, Christopher and Sarah Jackson of Bryan and Josh and Julie Jackson of Franklin; daughter, Cindy and Robert Wright of Calvert; four grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. He is also survived by two brothers, Calvin and Bonnie Schoonover of College Station and Les Schoonover of Euless; four sisters, Margaret and Calvin Dockery of LaGrange, Reba and Anthony Foursha of Bullard, Darlene Perkins of Bryan and Marilyn and Bill Monigold of Bryan and numerous nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations be made to Hospice Brazos Valley, 502 West 26th Street, Bryan, TX 77803, or a charity of your choice .
