Margaret (Rodriquez) Enrique passed away in Caldwell surrounded by her loving family at the age of 70 on Sunday, April 28, 2013.
Visitation was held Tuesday, April 30, 2013 from 3:00 to 9:00 p.m., with a Rosary at 6:30 p.m. at Phillips and Luckey Funeral Home in Caldwell. A funeral mass will be celebrated on Wednesday, May 1, 2013, at 11 a.m. at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Caldwell, Texas with Father Brion Zarsky officiating with burial following at St. Mary's Cemetery.
She was born on November 13, 1942 in Hearne, Texas and raised in Galeton, Colorado. She graduated from Galeton High School in 1960. She met the love of her life at Sugar and Spice in Bryan, Texas and on November 1, 1963 they were married.
She worked at Caldwell Elementary School for 25 years as an ESL teacher aide. She was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church, St. Mary's Choir, Cursillistas, Burleson County Child Protective Services, a founding member of Burleson County Cinco de Mayo festival, and Burleson County Relay For Life .
She devoted her time to Caldwell PTO, CCE teacher, Baptismal Instructor, Election Poll Volunteer and helped individuals pursue the American dream by becoming a U.S. Citizen where she taught classes in the evening many years ago. She will be remembered as loving and devoted wife, mother, sister, grandmother and friend and will be deeply missed and forever loved.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her daughters Patsy and Juanita, sisters Mercedes and Mary, and brothers Jesse Jr., Fred, and Johnny.
Survivors include her loving husband of 49 years Jessie Sr. and her children Michael Enrique, Jessie Jr. and daughter-in-law Andrea Enrique, Sarah Enrique, Victoria Enrique, Victor and daughter-in-law Isabel Enrique of Tomball, Mary Jane and son-in-law Lucas Pineda, and Mary Alice and son-in-law Alvin Peel all of Caldwell.
Her grandchildren are Mark and granddaughter-in-law Nancy Enrique of San Fernando, CA, Michael Enrique Jr., Mary Elizabeth Enrique, Samuel Enrique, Jessica Juanita Enrique, Jessie Edward Enrique III, Patsy Ramona Pineda all of Caldwell and Ethan Matthew Enrique of Tomball and great grandchildren Sophia Esperanza and Delilah Rose Enrique of San Fernando, CA.
Her sisters Luz Santos of Pearsall, Ricarda and Alex Reyes of Bryan, Felis Wyatt of Pasadena, Marie Hall of Utopia, Sally and Mike Barnes of Magnolia, Anita and Macario Luna of Caldwell. Her brothers, Julian Rodriquez of Greeley, Colo., Roy Rodriquez of Pasadena, Joe and Norma Rodriquez of Huntsville. She had numerous nieces, nephews, and host of friends.
Pallbearers will be her sons Jessie Jr., and Victor Enrique, her grandsons Mark and Michael Jr. Enrique, and son-in-law Lucas Pineda and Alvin Peel and nephew Julian Luna. Honorary Pallbearers will be her Godchildren.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to St. Mary's Catholic Church, St. Mary's Church Choir, or Burleson County Relay For Life .
