Lenora was a people person who loved to have fun. She and George didn't miss many polka dances after his retirement from the Alcoa plant in Rockdale and their move to the farm in Caldwell. Lenora was a great cook, best "Kolach" maker in Burleson County. Her pies, cakes and chicken fried steak weren't too shabby either! Good eating at her house, and she was always welcoming to anyone who happened to show up a meal time or during the day. She loaded the freezer during peach and dew berry season with pies that she would pull out and warm up when someone dropped by on a Sunday afternoon. She also loved the outdoors, cattle, hunting and fishing with friends and family.

We will all miss her, but know that she's gone on to the next life and that we'll see her again in Glory! Love to you Mom, Grandma and great grandma from your family.

Lenora is survived by her sons and daughters-in-law, Glen & Patsy Chmelar of College Station and George & Susan Chmelar of Bryan. Grandchildren, Chad & Joy Chmelar, Cristel Chmelar, Tracy & E.B. Ash and Doug & Bobbie Chmelar, and seven great grandsons.
