Mary Anne Stasny, 88, passed away Thursday morning May 2 at St. Joseph Manor. Mass of Christian Burial will be 10:00 a.m. Saturday May 4, at St. Joseph Catholic Church with Msgr. John McCaffrey officiating. Entombment will follow at Msgr. Gleissner Mausoleum. Visitation will be held from 5:30 – 8:00 p.m. at Memorial Funeral Chapel in Bryan with a rosary service at 7:00 p.m.




Mary Anne was born August 15, 1924 in Burleson County, Texas the daughter of Anton and Elizabeth (Sablatura) Beran. She was a devoted member of St. Joseph Catholic Church, and would volunteer where needed and attend mass daily. Mary Anne was a member of KJZT, Women's Guild and Age Managers. In her earlier years she was den mother for her sons in Cub Scouts. She loved sewing, gardening and was an excellent cook.




Mary Anne is preceded in death by her parents.




She is survived by her husband of 66 years, Charles H. Stasny of Bryan; sons and daughters-in-law, James H. and Addie Stasny of Wellborn, C. David and Mary Stasny of Bryan, and Gregory and Tracy Stasny of Snook; daughter, Anne Stasny of Bryan; sisters and brother-in-law, Edith Jones, Nettie Hein, Elizabeth and Alfred Wymola, and Dorothy Beran; eight grandchildren, Mark and Shellie Stasny, Tina and Ed Chase, Sarah Stasny and Jack Worthy, John and Courtney Stasny, Rachel Stasny, George and Sarah Stasny, Stephen Stasny, and Cindy and Bryan Dippel; eleven great-grandchildren.




Memorials may be made to St. Joseph Catholic Church, 600 East 26th Street, Bryan, Texas 77803 or Still Creek Ranch, 6055 Hearne Road, Bryan, Texas 77808.
