Stanley Wilton Johnson, 47, of Bryan, went to be with his Lord on Friday, May 3, 2013. A time for family to receive friends will be from 5:00 – 7:00 p.m. on Monday, May 6 at Hillier Funeral Home. A rosary will be recited at 6:30 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Tuesday, May 7, 2013 at St. Joseph Catholic Church, 600 East 26th Street in Bryan. Interment will follow at Mt. Calvary Catholic Cemetery.
Stanley was born on September 3, 1965 to Wilton and Joyce (Lorenz) Johnson in Bryan. He graduated from Bryan High School in 1984 and attended Blinn Jr. College, moving on to earn his associates degree in automotive engineering from TSTI in Waco. Stanley took over ownership of Villa Maria Chevron from his father in 2000, having worked there since childhood. He was baptized and confirmed at Our Saviour's Lutheran Church in College Station, and later became a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church. Stanley was well known throughout the community for his coaching of boys and girls at Harvey Little League. He will be remembered for his kindness and helpfulness to all.
He is preceded in death by his father, Wilton Johnson of Bryan.
Stanley leaves behind his loving wife of 23 years, Sue Johnson; his son, Will Johnson of Bryan, his daughter, Madison Johnson of Bryan; his mother, Joyce Johnson and Henry of College Station; a sister, Joy Lynn Geppert of Arlington, his brothers-in-law, Ken and Tommy Yanowski of Houston; and extended family and friends.
