Thomas E. Lero, Sr., 69, of Bryan, passed away June 29, 2013 at St. Joseph Regional Hospital in Bryan. The family will receive friends from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m., Monday, July 1, 2013 at Memorial Funeral Chapel in Bryan. A graveside service is scheduled for 11 a.m., Tuesday, July 2, 2013 at Steep Hollow Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Frank "Bubba" Lero, Edward Koslosky, Byron Shenkir, John Elbrich, Mike Carson, and Jimmy Lero. Honorary Pallbearers are Douglas McBride, Melvin Nauman, Donnie Powers, Billie Seth Pope, Danny Carson, and Dr. J.F. Cooper.

Mr. Lero was born June 28, 1944 in Bryan, the son of Lillian (Merka) and Frank Joe Lero. He married Jo Ann Gray June 5, 1965. Mr. Lero worked for Dr. C.M. and Mrs. Doris Patterson at Research Equipment for over 30 years as a research equipment fabricator. He enjoyed gardening, being outdoors, cooking for family and friends and spending time with his grandchildren.

Survivors include his wife, Jo Ann (Gray) Lero; children, Annette Shenkir and her husband Byron of Bryan, Tommy Lero, Jr. and his wife Debbie of Anderson; sisters, Josephine Elbrich, Martha "Susie" Koslosky; brother, Frank "Bubba" Lero and grandchildren, Paige and Claire Shenkir; and Megan, Matthew and Shelby Lero.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the charity of your choice .
