Imogene (Nash) Robertson, 94, of Bryan, passed away on Tuesday, July 9, 2013. Her care is entrusted to Hillier Funeral Home in Bryan. Funeral services will be held on Friday, July 12, 2013 at 2:30 p.m. at First Baptist Church in Bryan, Texas. Interment will follow at Bryan City Cemetery.
Imogene was born in Bryan, Texas, on November 16, 1917 to J. H. Nash and Mae (Andrews) Nash. She graduated from high school in Bryan and then went on to attend Baylor University, with an emphasis on piano and organ. Imogene was the organist for First Baptist Church in Bryan for 42 years. She also served as pianist for the Businessman's Bible Class, Wedding Coordinator and Music Librarian during her tenure at the church.
Ms. Imogene taught private piano lessons to several generations of Bryan/College Station students, sharing her love of music. She also shared her love of the Bryan community by visiting and welcoming new residents and businesses to the community. Imogene was also a Life Member of the Bryan Woman's Club.
Imogene is survived by her son, John H. Robertson of Bryan. She was preceded in death by her parents and her brother, William E. Nash.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorials be made in her name to First Baptist Church of Bryan, Music Ministry, 3100 Cambridge Drive, Bryan, TX 77802.
