J.T. Todd, 96, of Gause died Sunday, July 14, 2013 at his home. Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday, July 17, at Marek- Burns-Laywell Funeral Home with Rev. Kenneth Byrd officiating. Burial will follow in the Gause Cemetery.

Mr. Todd was born June 10, 1917 in Maysfield to Roger and Ora (Minter) Todd. He was a graduate of Hearne High School. He married Brunell Cox in 1938 and she preceded him in death. He retired from Exxon as a pipeliner superintendent. He was a member of Gause First Baptist Church, the Hearne Masonic Lodge and was a past president of the Gause School Board. He is also preceded in death by a son, James Truman Todd; a daughter, Jan Marie Dent and 6 siblings. He is survived by son, Billy Todd and wife Judy of Gause, daughter, Mary Nell Neely and husband Travis of Gause; sister, Marie Gibbons of Austin; 11 grandchildren, 24 great grandchildren and 9 great-great grandchildren. Marek-Burns-Laywell Funeral Home of Cameron is in charge of arrangements.
