August 1, 1919 - July 22, 2013

Ruby Lea Cannon, 93 of Caldwell passed away Monday, July 22, 2013 in Caldwell. A funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday, July 25, 2013 at at Phillips & Luckey Chapel with Rev. Steve Johnson officiating. Burial will follow in the Caldwell Masonic Cemetery. The visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m Wednesday evening.

Ruby was born August 1, 1919 to parents William Bell & Leada (Cothern) Bell.

Mrs. Cannon was a homemaker for her family which she loved dearly. She enjoyed sewing, knitting, quilting and playing dominoes but her primary activity was spending time with her savior and her church family.

Mrs. Cannon was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Belve Cannon, two daughters, Mary Jane Cannon and Margaret Porter and a son-in-law Ray Porter, four brothers, Walter, Gid, Calvin, and Elmo Bell, two sisters, Elna Smith and Dimple Martin.

Ruby is survived by three sons, Travis Cannon and wife Patricia of Denton, TX, Thomas Cannon and wife Linda, and Curtis Cannon and his wife Kathy all of Caldwell, eight grandchildren; Deborah Karuth and husband Walter, Ward Cannon and wife Melissa, Todd Cannon and wife Cheryl, Lori Bowers and husband Dick, Lana Teakell, Kathy Bledsoe and husband Rodney Kristen Suehs and husband Bradley and Cheryl Moore and husband John, by seventeen great-grandchildren and by numerous other relatives and host of friends.

Serving as her pallbearers will be her grandchildren and their spouses.

Arrangements under the direction of Phillips & Luckey Funeral Home, Caldwell.
