A Funeral Mass to celebrate the life of Regina E. (Murski) Discher is set for 2 p.m. Monday, August 26, 2013 at St. Ann's Catholic Church in Somerville with Fr. Nock Russell acting as Celebrant. Interment will follow in Oaklawn Cemetery in Somerville. Visitation will be 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. Sunday, August 25, 2013, at Strickland Funeral Home in Somerville. A Rosary will be recited at 7 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.

Regina was born in Brenham on August 22, 1926, the daughter of Alex and Sophie (Skiwers) Murski. She was educated through St. Mary's Catholic Church School. She was married to Newt Discher on November 8, 1949 in Houston, Texas. Regina was a member of St. Ann's Catholic Church in Somerville and she operated the Discher Café for over 19 years. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, on October 27, 1996; her son David W. Discher and a brother.

Survivors include her sons and daughter-in-law, Michael J. Discher of Somerville, Chris J. and Jannette Discher of College Station, Jeffery B. Discher of Somerville, Carol E. Discher of Somerville; grandchildren, Zack C. and wife Lori Discher, Carly Shane and husband Jack Mason, Blake Discher and wife Ashley Discher, of Houston; great-grandchildren, David L. Discher, Landon and Isabella Discher, along with numerous other relatives.
