Fern Evelyn Castolenia, 86, died peacefully on Saturday, August 24, 2013 in Bryan, Texas. She joins her husband, Reverend Virgil Lee Castolenia. Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, August 28th at Memorial Funeral Chapel in Bryan. Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Thursday, August 29th at Bryan United Pentecostal Church 2206 Hwy 21 East. Interment will follow at Bryan City Cemetery.




Born in Louise Texas, Fern was a resident of Bryan for 48 years. As an active member of Bryan United Pentecostal Church, she played the piano and organ and her husband pastored the church for 28 years.




She was preceded in death by her husband, Virgil Castolenia; one son, Wesley Castolenia; parents Clarence and Ruth Roades of Louise, Texas; Siblings; Roy Roades, Naomi Matthews, Paul Roades, Eva Tucker, Homer Roades and Sam Roades.




She is survived by her daughter, Linda Brown and husband Grady; three grandchildren and their spouses: Adra and Tyson Stafford, Jared and Quita Brown, and Galen and Crystal Brown; nine great grandchildren: Christopher, Kelsey, Dallas, Caleb, Kaitlin, Kayla, Austin, Xander, and Alyssa; one great-great grandchild; Addison; two brothers and their spouses: Herbert and Janie Roades, Donald and Shirley Roades; many nieces, nephews and a host of friends.
