David Rankin Hogan, 79, of Chandler, Texas died Saturday, September 7, 2013 in Tyler. A memorial service is scheduled for 3 p.m. Saturday, September 21, at The Lord's Refuge Full Gospel Church south of Chandler with Pastor Ray Alden officiating. Arrangements are with Chandler Memorial Funeral Home.




David was born May 21, 1934 in Junction City, Kansas. He had lived in the Chandler area since 2004 and was formerly of Hawkins.




He was a captain in the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers and graduated from Texas A&M University with BS Degree in Electrical Engineering. He was a Baptist and a member of the Sons of the American Revolution.




Survivors include his wife, Regina Hogan of Chandler; daughters, Deborah Bumpass of Lewisville, Texas, Nancy Denise Graves and husband, Stetson Roane, of Aransas Pass, Texas, Donna Crutsinger of Edmond, Okla., Mary Joe McNeal and husband Jonathan, of Woodville, Texas, Winnie Wright and husband Danny, of Buna, Texas, and Allona Hogan of Woodville, Texas; brother, Thad Hogan and wife Patty, of Dallas, Texas; ten grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.




Memorial contributions in lieu of flowers may be made to the Wounded Warriors Foundation, Meals on Wheels or, the charity of one's choice .
