Charles V. Barak, 95 departed this life on Friday, October 11, 2013, surrounded by his wife and family. He will be missed by all of his family & friends.

Services are set for 2 p.m. Wednesday, October 16, at Cook-Walden Funeral Home, 14501 N. I35 in Austin.

Born December 6, 1917 he was the son of Angelina Luza and Frank Barak, in Bryan. He married Mary Ann Fojtik, March 26, 1940 and they had four children: Mary Ann and Pat Easley, Charles and JoAnn Barak, Elizabeth and Floyd Flint, Frank and Mary Ellen Barak; 19 grandkids, 21 great-grandkids and 14 great-great-grandkids.

He proudly served in WWII and was a faithful member of the Manchaca VFW. Charles surviving brother and sister are Joe Barak and Helen Fry.

His parents; sisters, Frances, Margaret, Annie Regmund, Alice Sodolak, Mary Groda and his brother, Frank Barak, all preceded him in death.

In lieu of flowers, please make donations to the Manchaca VFW.
