Beth (Goolsby) Neyland was born in Palestine, Texas and was a lifelong resident of Centerville, Texas. She graduated from Centerville High School in 1966.
Beth rodeoed from the age of 12 until her second son was born in 1976. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Centerville and worked as a nursing home administrator and consultant for 32 years. During her career, she took pride in serving as a mentor to many in her profession. She always worked hard to take on any facility that was troubled and enjoyed lifting it to her standard of care. She felt and showed unconditional love for family and friends. Her joy and success in life was to take care of others. After her retirement from the Centerville Healthcare Center, she enjoyed shopping and spending lots of time with her family...especially with her three grandchildren.
Beth passed away at her home surrounded by her family and friends. Her spirit and belief in defying the odds and proving others wrong served her well even in her final days. Beth was preceded in death by her parents, Lois and N.G. Goolsby, her older son, Wes Neyland and by her parents-in-law, Roger and Mattie Jo Neyland.
