Maxine Gonzalez Williams, 64, of Bryan, went to be with her Lord on October 15, 2013. A memorial service will be held at 3:00 PM on Thursday, October 24, 2013 at Hillier Funeral Home, 2301 E. 29th St., Bryan, TX 77802.

Maxine was born on December 23, 1948 to Ascension and Eulalie (Hernandez) Gonzalez in Cottonport, Louisiana. She graduated from Cottonport High School in 1967, and married Donald Williams from Pineville, Louisiana, in 1968. Together, they moved to Lufkin, Texas, in 1978, then Bryan, Texas, in 1982. Maxine worked at Texas A&M University in College Station, Texas, for 23 years.

She is preceded in death by her parents, and two sisters, Betty Fielding and Bessie Bordelon.

Maxine leaves behind her loving husband of 45 years, Don Williams; three sons, Duane and wife Stephanie of Austin, Texas, Darren and wife Nancy of San Antonio, Texas, and Major Derrick Williams of the United States Army; one daughter, Deanne and husband Clark White of Rowlett, Texas; eight grandchildren, Bram, Claire, Reese, Kevan, Jacob, Marissa, Bryan, and Madison; two brothers, Ascension Jr., and Johnny Gonzalez; and two sisters, Lorraine Lemoine and Josephine Gonzalez.

As an expression of sympathy, memorial contributions may be sent to Hospice Brazos Valley at 502 W 26th St, Bryan, TX 77803.
