Clarence C. (Son) Vick, Jr. 98, of Bryan went to be with his Lord and Savior on Tuesday, October 29, 2013. A private family burial will be at Bryan City Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at Hillier Funeral Home on Friday, November 1. A memorial service has been set for 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, November 2 at First Baptist Church of Bryan. Dr. Tim Owens will officiate.
Son was born on August 29, 1915 to Clarence C. and Emmie Pipkin Vick in Bryan, Texas. He attended Texas A&M University graduating in 1938 with a BS in Animal Husbandry. He served in the Army Air Corp during World War II and married Koleen Burgess in 1947. They were married for 64 years. He was a rancher in the Brazos Valley and served as a deacon at First Baptist Church in Bryan where he was involved in Sunday School teaching and leadership for over 60 years.
He was preceded in death by his parents and his sisters, Mozelle Ketterson and Helen Hale.
Survivors include his son Tom Vick and wife Jana of DeSoto; son Tim Vick of Spring; daughter Gay Craig and husband Ronnie of Bryan; grandson Sam Vick and wife Michelle of Spring; granddaughter Valerie Floren and husband Josh of Coppell; grandson Jeff Vick of Dallas; grandson Bryson Vick of Bryan; grandson Travis Vick and wife Katie of Midlothian; grandson Daniel Vick of Spring; granddaughter Joy Hadden and husband Eric of Seattle, WA; granddaughter Lauren Vick of St. Paul, MN; Emily and Kinsey Craig of Bryan, seven great grandchildren and his sister, Louise Green of Bastrop, LA.
