Virginia “Ginna” Baldwin Dopp, 69, beloved wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, aunt and friend passed away on Friday, March 7, 2014. She was a resident of Willis, Texas. Graveside Service will be at 2 p.m. Thursday, March 13, at Sam Houston Memorial Funeral Home, 10129 FM 1097 W, Willis, TX 77318.



Virginia was born on August 11, 1944 in Bronx, NY to Richard Mark Powers and Martha Mary Powers. She attended Hialeah High School in Hialeah, Fla. She later married and raised four children. While residing in College Station, Texas she was a longtime employee of the Bryan/College Station Eagle.



Survivors include her husband, James W. Dopp; her children, Bruce Baldwin, Jr. and wife Peggy of Silverdale, Wash., William “Billy” Baldwin and wife Kim of Plano, Texas, Michelle Barco Hughes of Mauriceville, Texas, Richard Baldwin and wife Tammy of White Oak, Texas; her grandchildren, Tiffani, Jake, Victoria, Morgan, Michael and Megan; great-grandchildren, Grace, Carter and Camryn; sister, Margaret “Peggy” Weatherbee and husband Charles of Clermont, Fla.; brother, Richard James “Jimmy” Powers of Armonk, NY; niece, Colleen Weatherbee of Clermont, Fla., and nephew, Wayne Weatherbee of Clermont, Fla.



The family of Virginia Baldwin Dopp wishes to extend their sincere thanks to Kenneth and Mildred Richards of Bryan, Texas for their many years of friendship, love and support.
