Mary Greenlee, 86, of Alpharetta, Georgia went to be with her Lord on August 18, 2014. Visitation will be held on Friday, August 22 at Hillier Funeral Home from 4 – 6PM with a memorial service scheduled Saturday, August 23rd at 10:00AM at Hillier Funeral Home, 2301 E. 29th St., Bryan, TX with Bob Wolfert officiating. Interment will follow at Bryan City Cemetery.
Mary was born on August 10, 1928 to Loys (Woods) and William Arthur Jackson in Eastland, TX. Mary had 3 brothers and five sisters. She graduated from Levelland High School in 1946. Mary and Roger Greenlee married on November 20, 1947 and were together until his death in 2005.
Mary was a member of the Church of Christ and was an active member of Central Church of Christ in Bryan during her seven years in Bryan. Mary was a kind, gentile, giving woman with a passion for Bible study. She loved family and found great joy in grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She loved sewing, crocheting, pottery painting and camping with her husband Roger.
She is preceded in death by her husband Roger, and sisters, Avis Marrow, Dot Riley and Nellois Strickland and brother Wayne Jackson.
Mary leaves behind two sons, Gary Greenlee and wife Debbie of Alpharetta, GA.: Don Greenlee and wife Katina of College Station; four grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren; sisters, Billie Strickland and Carolyn Miller; and brothers, Waymon Jackson and Raymon Jackson.
