COLLEGE STATION - For 17-year-old Chase, animals are his life.

"It's mostly the one thing that I'm used to," said Chase.

Spending the day at the Winnie Carter Wildlife Center at Texas A&M University was a dream come true. The outgoing teenager said he relates to animals. In and out of foster care, Chase says that animals have been a constant companion. Their selfless love is a prime example of what Chase is looking for in a family.

"Just someone who can help me get my drivers license and help me learn more about animals," he said.

Chase is looking for a family full of love and encouragement. One with pets would be perfect too.

He dreams of becoming an animal patrol officer. "Be the person that helps injured animals or rescues them from abandoned houses," he said.

Chase knows college is important and hopes to attend the University of Texas at Austin one day.

"It's going to give me a better chance of knowing what I need to do and everything starts there," Chase said.

He said he can't wait to meet his future parents and share his passion for animals with them, knowing that together, they can save more furry friends.

If you are interest in adopting Chase, contact the Texas Department of Family and Protective Services or Voices for Children for more information.
