Toy'Shai loves shopping. On this day...her shopping trip includes more than just clothes. 2 July 2014
COLLEGE STATION - The love of shopping. Most every teenage girl can relate. But for 15-year-old Toy'Shai, shopping takes on a whole new meaning.
"I want a family like that I see on the really happy movies," Toy'Shai said.
She's a foster kid. Shopping for a new home.
"A really good family who will understand my problems who will help me when I'm going through a lot and who will listen to me about what I have to say about my feelings," Toy'Shai said.
On this day though, she gets to take her mind off life and just be a kid as she dresses a mannequin in summer inspired designs. While shopping makes her happy, she also enjoys other things.
"Being with my friends, talking to them, and making new friends, getting to know people a little bit better," Toy'Shai said.
And for Toy'Shai, the people she really wants to get to know are those who will one day make up her forever family.
