John is a very sweet and funny child. He loves to talk, sing, and make up new inventions. He loves playing video games and playing with Legos. He is redirected fairly easily by his foster parents. He can sometimes get easily distracted and needs redirection to focus his attention. John tends to get along and play with children younger than his age. He needs help to continue build on to his self esteem. He also is learning how to be more respectful and obedient to adults. He bonds to his caretakers quickly. He is very open about wanting new forever parents.
John is still slightly behind his peers at school and sometimes gets frustrated with his schoolwork He struggles mainly with reading and math. He requires extra tutoring and instruction at school. He also receives speech therapy. John's teachers monitor him closely as far as his educational needs.
John is a happy, go-lucky child and has a great sense of humor. He is easy to talk with and loves attention. John needs a family with experience with children having behavioral and special needs. He needs a loving and consistent environment that will work with him on expressing his emotions in a more positive way.
