An early-morning raid on a Normangee home turned up some items authorities expected to find, and some they didn't.

Leon County Sheriff's investigators were looking for drugs when they executed a search warrant Thursday at 6 a.m. at a house near Main Street. They found marijuana, cocaine, methamphetamine, ecstasy and prescription pills. They also seized 58 firearms, some of which had been illegally modified.

What they didn't expect to encounter were three alligators living in the backyard. The animals were taken by game wardens.

The couple living in the home was arrested. No names have been released.

our local law works with the officers and agencies that were involved, busts like these don't happen overnight, besides we have only "ONE" local law to take care of our WHOLE town and is doing a very fine job, i'd like to see you take on the whole town keeping the peace...........spell check "H-U-G-E"

A HUGH THANK YOU TO ALL THOSE OFFICERS AND AGENCIES INVOLVED. It's about time SOMEONE came in and finally did what has NEEDED to be done! This has been going on for along time. Hope they don't stop with just this BUST, there are alot more here in this small country town. Seems that our local "LAW" have blinders on. Continue the good work, our community appreciates it.
