A former College Station City Council member, Ron Gay, got his big break on "The Tonight Show."

Jay Leno used Ron Gay's campaign slogan in a segment on the June 16th episode of the show, chanting "Keep Ron Gay, we must keep Ron Gay."

Ron says he heard that his campaign slogan made it to the show, but says he didn't catch it, because he was in bed.

to Justme, everything on the news does not have to be about someone being killed, high gas prices or who running for what office to news worthy. It the ligher side of life that needs to get reported as well. It was just something that made a national televised program that is from our area. I must admit I saw those yard signs as well and never thought that. It is funny "Keep Ron Gay" that is all just a gag. Lighten up!
