A Waller County inmate who deputies say escaped from jail by squeezing through an air conditioner vent has been captured.
Around 11:30 p.m. Tuesday, authorities arrested murder suspect Darryl Norris from a north Houston Motel. Deputies say Norris was arrested on information received concerning his location. He was apprehended without incident and has been returned to the Waller County Jail.
Deputies say Saturday, Norris slipped through an air conditioning vent.
Sheriff investigators believe the fugitive went on a crash weight-loss diet while locked up for the express purpose of being able to squeeze through the vent.
Norris is charged in connection with a murder at a convenience store in April.
