It was déjà vu for Burleson County authorities who busted up a cock-fighting ring off County Road 255. They say the illegal battles were being held at the exact same location they raided a few years ago.
Around a dozen citations for illegal gambling were handed out after the August 31 surprise visit. Burleson County Sheriff Dale Stroud said some of the participants fled into the woods leaving their vehicles behind. But they were ticketed after showing up at the Sheriff's Office to retrieve their cars that deputies had towed.

Oh! So other races can kill and rob people! That justifies it all. Get a Rooster or a joint...

Way to go Sheriff Stroud and deputies of the Burleson County Sheriff's Office! There is more than one way to skin a cat! It's also a useful tactic when the under aged drinkers flee into the woods to avoid law enforcement. Keep up the good work and thank all of you for the great job you do!
