A former Presidential candidate-turned-cable talk show host made a stop in Brazos County Tuesday night.

Former Arkansas Governor Mike Huckabee was the speaker at the Hope Pregnancy Center's United for Life event. The pastor discussed the choices facing expecting mothers and his pro-life views.

When we asked him about the proposed bailout plan as the American economy struggles, he offered criticism of the $700 billion idea.

"If the small business guy in College Station can call up Congress on a toll free number and get bailed out when he has a bad month, then let's talk about bailing out these big boys on Wall Street," Huckabee said. "And I hear, 'Well, it's going to affect us all.' It probably will, but at some point, we have to quit believing that Uncle Sugar an be the backstop for every bad and stupid business decision."

Huckabee, now a Fox News Channel host, also gave his insight into the presidential race. You hear more of News 3's interview with the governor Sunday night on 10 at Ten.

That is true, DJ and Anonymous at 3:32 p.m. That's the reason I watch Fox News now instead of the others. When the news network was being accused of racism they didn't cower and apologize. They clearly and firmly denied it, proved WHY they weren't and MOVED ON. They didn't try to baby or coddle the accusers. They also have both sides of the parties speaking on the issues. That's much better than the other "news" stations, no matter what political party you belong to.

The reason the liberals don't like fox news is because "the truth hurts". They just don't want to hear it.
