The search for a missing Bryan man turns up a body in Robertson County.

Brandon Rosales, 23, went missing over the weekend after reportedly being threatened at a party.

And Tuesday, a few hours after joining in the search, Texas EquuSearch discovered what family members feared.

The search began at the Oaks apartment complex in Bryan and continued towards Mumford in Robertson County.

It's a desperate plea, from a desperate mother looking for answers.

"Somebody knows something, somebody has seen something and I wish, and I'm begging them for any information they have towards my son, please call me, contact the police," Brandon's Mother Sally Rodriguez said.

Sally Rodriguez has found herself living out every mother's worst nightmare.

"I'm looking for my son," Rodriguez said.

"I think there's a lot of strength in numbers when it comes to something like this," Texas EquuSearch Member Tim Miller said.

Miller, alongside dozens of friends and family, and volunteers began the daunting task of searching for Brandon Rosales.

A search conducted by air, takes volunteers through thick brush and ravines on foot, and even down by the side of the water in Robertson County.

"We know that's a 15 mile area," Miller said. "There's a lot of searchers here and we certainly are interested in the river of course."

"Alive or dead, I just want my son," Rodriguez told an EquuSearch member. "We'll do our best," he replies back.

"As of now it doesn't look good, things don't look good in the whole picture," Miller said.

Just a couple hours into the search EquuSearch members find what they most fear, a body. It's found just about a mile from where Rosales' car was found burning early Saturday morning.

"I actually had seen some tire tracks and we walked left of the tire tracks to not contaminate anything, and the body was laying right there in that brush pile," Miller said. "It's one of the most difficult things I've had to say to families, and unfortunately I've had to do it too many times."

Texas EquuSearch and Bryan Police have now positively identified the body to be that of Brandon Rosales.

Family and Friends of Rosales were notified Tuesday afternoon, and they gathered at a church in Bryan to grieve.

Police say an autopsy will be performed Wednesday to determine the cause of death.

Right now, Bryan police say they are not sure if the crime is gang-related. Currently, they are assisting Robertson County Sheriff's Office Investigation.

yesterday, i was thinking back to a yr ago when we were out searching for Brandon.. Oh how that was a tough time for all of us when we got that terrible phone call 2 call off the search cuz he was found.. As 4 T.J, he was with us the entire time of the search but suddenly vanished the min we got the call.. For him being B's "best friend" since we were in elelmentary school; he wasn't a friend enough 2 show to the funeral or anything..You would think since he was "spared" his life @ B's expense he would be there 2 show some great appreciation or sympathy and grieve with us.. We all considered T.J our family until now.. How ppl change..He knows alot more & eventually one day he's gonna break down & what's done in the dark, eventually comes to light!!.. Brandon, I miss you soo much cousin!!.. I wish i could see ur face again..I remember that smile on ur face the last time i seen u which was the night u went missing.. I LUV U CUZ!!! Rest In Peace

I just wanted to express my sympathy to the family of brandon. I work in law enforcement now but when I first met brandon I was still in college, He had dreams just as every one else did. And it saddens me that I have met my goals and am not able to share this with him. I am making a promise to brandon today, that I will do everything in my ability to find out what happened and make sure that the person resbonsible for this takes responsibility for these actions. I dont care how long it takes, I will help. I will forever keep you in my heart.
